What if I'm not a Christian?

Becoming a Christian is a personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ. If you would like to talk to someone, don't hesitate to get in touch with us through this website. We would love to help.

At its heart, Christianity is about:

  • Believing in one God, who is the Creator of all things
  • Accepting Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Savior of humanity
  • Understanding that salvation is a gift from God, not earned through good deeds

Step 1: Seek understanding. Read the Bible, starting with the New Testament. Attend church services or Bible studies. Speak with Christians to understand their beliefs and experiences.

Step 2: Self-reflection. Ask yourself: Do I believe in the teachings of Christianity? Am I willing to turn away from my past sins and follow Jesus? Am I ready to make a lifelong commitment to this faith?

Step 3: Accept Jesus as your Savior. This is a personal decision, often made through prayer, where you confess your sins, acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God, and ask Him to come into your life and guide you.

Step 4: Public declaration. Many Christians make a public declaration of their faith through baptism and by sharing their decision with friends and family.

Step 5: Join a faith community. Becoming a Christian is not just a one-time event but a lifelong journey. A church provides spiritual guidance and mentorship, a sense of belonging, and opportunities to serve.

Step 6: Live out your faith. Being a Christian involves more than just belief. It includes regular prayer and Bible study, living according to God's Word, and sharing your faith with others.

Do I need to be perfect to become a Christian? No. Christianity is about receiving God's grace, not achieving perfection.

What if I have doubts? Doubts are natural. The key is to seek answers through study, prayer, and conversation with trusted believers.
